Meet The Musicians
Little Groovers is run by trained musicians who have experience of teaching young children. All of our musicians are fully insured and hold enhanced and current DBS certificates. We also hold an EduCare NSPCC Child Protection In Music certificate.
Liz Osler
I am the founder of Little Groovers. I’m a trained pianist and oboe player, as well as being a self-taught drummer – and I’ll have a go at playing any instrument I come across! When I’m not in my Groovy role I teach music in a Manchester primary school. I first became interested in early years music after having my eldest daughter – who is now in Year 10 at secondary school! Little Groovers sessions introduce young children and their carers to music-making in a relaxed, fun and interactive way.
Nicola Williamson
My name is Nicola and I am an experienced musician and early years practitioner. I am a vocalist/guitarist and have gigged as a soloist and in bands all over the country.
I have been working with Little Groovers for 7 years now, running sessions in many different settings across Greater Manchester. It brings me so much joy to meet little ones and their families and watch how music inspires them, builds their confidence and forges bonds between families.
Sally Hawkins
My name is Sally and I’m an accomplished oboe, cor anglais and violin player.
Classically trained, and grounded in folk, I was an original member of the London Breakbeat Orchestra, recording Live at Maida Vale sessions for BBC Radio 1 and collaborating with Swedish House Mafia at KOKO in London.
As well as my recording work I run multi-sensory sessions alongside delivering Groovers classes – I’m a busy lady! I really enjoy the babies’ and children’s reactions to my violin and am excited to be part of the Little Groovers family.
Want to join our band? We are looking to grow our Groovy team!
We are looking for musicians who genuinely enjoy working with babies and young children. In return we offer training, immense job satisfaction, excellent remuneration and the opportunity to make the role your own performance.
Do you… ?
